My 2 1/2 year old grandson, Kendall, and his mother, Cordae Lee, were murdered in Orange Co., NC while visiting Cordae's friend, Valerie Gates. Valerie's father, Alan D. Gates murdered his daughter, Valerie, Cordae and Kendall. He had a long history of domestic violence to Valerie and her mother. Cordae and Kendall were not related to the Gates family and we just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel that my heart has been ripped from my chest. Kendall stayed with me 4 days a week and was my whole life and my future. I can't seem to find a reason to be happy again.
