Stories of Lost Children
Connyr
by Pam, Warner Robbins, GA, USA
It was my second pregnency. The first ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks. My husband was so happy when I told him I was pregnent. He was almost 31 and longed for a child to love. I continued to work thru the pregnency and it added a lot of stress that I probably didn't need. I started to feel pain in my abdomin at 20 weeks. I had never been in labor before so when everyone told me it was normal, I believed them. I didn't want to be one of those women who goes to the ER for every ache and pain, but when I started to bleed, I went to the doctor. At 22 weeks, I was 5 centameters dialated. They gave me so many drugs to stop the labor but nothing worked. I gave birth to Connyr at 23 weeks and he lived for thirty minutes. He was only 12.4 ounces and was much to small for any equipment to be used to save him. I just had to hold him and watch him die. That was on July 20, 2008. He will always be with me and the pain I feel will also. I love you Connyr! Love, Your mommy.
