Stories of Lost Children

My Jaslyn
by Angel Clifford, Rosebud , SD, U.S.A.

You was born on March 28th 2000 at 3:35am. I was so overjoyed to see your beautiful face. We were all so happy to see you. I was excited to take you home and have you all to myself. I enjoyed waking up to you every morning and didn't mind waking up at 4:00am in the morning. You were never a fussy baby always smiling at everyone who held you and enjoyed playing with your daddy. But mommy couldn't stay home for long. I had to go to work and thought you'd be fine and I'd come home to you. But that's not how it was. I went to work and got a phone call at 2:00am from your aunt Vikkie saying for me to come home right away because my sweet Jaslyn quit breathing and so I came home and the paramedics were trying to bring you back to me but it was to late. My world crumbled around and it felt like someone tore my heart to peices and there was no way to fix it. My sweet baby girl; my heart is still broken and I still cry for you. I love and miss you sooooo much. I dream about you and I wake up in tears and ask myself is this feeling ever going to go away. But I know that I'll feel this way for the rest of my life. But I know your there beside me wherever I am and I know that some day we'll see each other again.

Tell then Mommy loves you and misses you always and forever...
