Stories of Lost Children

Ross Andrew
by S.A., Mechanicsville , MD, U.S.A.

On November 11, 2003 we lost our youngest child, Ross Andrew. He was 19 years old and was at work. He welded on a 55 gallon drum that exploded. The top of the drum flew up and hit the top of the wall and came down "into" his head. He was flown to shock trauma and was operated on. However, a few hours later we made the worst decision of our life and turned off the life support. He would have passed away anyway in a few hours and we could not let our beautiful boy suffer anymore than he had already suffered.

Ross was a firefighter and was starting his own business in addition to working full time. As if this isn't enough for any parent, our daughter has decided to estrange herself from all of the family. Inside of 6 months we lost two children. Please pray for the child that is still here with us for she needs much support and isn't getting it from her family. I hope my child and the child of all who read this story are friends somewhere above us.

Bless you.
