Stories of Lost Children

My Maggie May
by Jamie Dawson, Watauga, TX, U.S.A.

Our Maggie may was born seventeen and a half months into my pregnancy October 24, 2002, way too early to survive. Eighteen months later, I sit here reliving her birth and death as though it was yesterday. My water broke way too soon and Maggie made her entrance into this cruel world despite both our protests. Perfectly formed and amazingly beautiful, she entered my life. She managed to move her frail little arm into the air as if she were waving goodbye, then she was gone. This would prove to be the end of two lives, mine and hers. Life is not life without her. She brought color to my life that turned to darkness when she left. The void is tremendous. Thanks for letting me share.
