Stories of Lost Children

Bella's Story
by Brenda Martin, Valdosta, GA, U.S.A.

My daughter, Isabella was born on March 8th of 2004. Unknown to us, she had Thanatophoric Dysplasia, a lethal form of skeletal dysplasia. She passed away on Mrach 10th and my heart is broken.

My husband and I had wanted to be pregnant for so long and when we found out that I was - we were thrilled. My pregnany went fine, no problems - at least not until the day she was born. I went in for an emergency c-section and when I woke up - my world had crumbled.

She was beautiful despite her deformities. I loved her so much and I miss her so much. My whole family does - we talk about her daily and hope that she is happy in Heaven. All I want is to be sure that she is never forgotten. I know that we will never forget her. I pray that God will give us strength as we try to put our lives back together.

Thanks for reading this. God bless you all.

The Martin Family
