While Mr. Steve was tragically taken from us way too soon, our incredible grief over this horrible loss can only be overshadowed by his incredible love of life, family and friends, his students, and the martial arts. While we all cry about how much we miss him, we have to remember that he would not want us to mourn his death. Rather, he would loudly insist that we constantly celebrate the joyous, wonderful life that he was able to share with us. So, when you think of him, please don’t think of the end. Think instead of his constant contagious smile, or his infectious laughter, or the gentle way he taught children, or the strength and love that flowed out of every pore of his body. If even one of these memories makes you smile or laugh, know that he is still there with you, reminding you to enjoy every second of every minute of every hour of every day, just as he did.
