Remembering Peanut

Hello. I was glad to find this website in hopes it will help me with my grieving. In April 1999, a lovely beautiful little boy came into our lives. My sister and brother-in-law adopted Liam from birth. They were unable to have children of their own but still needed to fill that empty spot in their hearts. Liam did just that. Unfortunately, in December of that year Liam became ill and in January 2000 required a heart operation. The wonderful, caring, undersatnding staff at Sick Kids Hospital 'fixed' him up and gave us 13 more months with him. Unfortunately he passed away in February 2001 from respiratory complications. He was my first and only nephew and I miss him so much. I find some comfort in the fact that he is no longer in pain and that one day we will be together again. One thing that has helped me is that I put together a picture book of photos and letters I write/wrote him at different stages of the year. I have also made 4 blankets and donated them to Sick Kids Hhospital. They are auctioned off at their bazaar and the money is used to help other little people get well. I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU LIAM
