Stories of Lost Grandchildren

Michael Patrick in Loving Memory

by Janet Moran, Lexington, MA, U.S.A.

Michael Patrick was born at eight and one half months via C-Section due to probable kidney failure. He lived only three and one half hours because his lungs were underdeveloped. My daughter and her husband were able to hold him, bond with him and love him for those precious moments. I also was able to be with him for one and a half hours. Although he had shed his body, his spirit was clearly still with us. My heart aches at his loss and for my daughter's loss. His sweet face will always be imprinted on my memory and his love on my soul. May all of us who experience the loss of a loved one be reminded that it's the love we must hang on to. It's always inside waiting to be touched.
