Lisa Marie was born April 5, 2001 with a condition called Gastroschesis (the small intestine was outside her body). Surgery was performed to fix it. After 4 months, she was in liver failure due to the IV, TPN nutrition. We transferred her from Wichita to Children's Mercy in K.C., Mo. and from there they sent us to the Lied Transplant Center in Omaha, NE where she was evaluated for small bowel and liver transplant. I miss her terribly and am having a very hard time letting her go.
