Stories of Lost Grandchildren

Donna Mae Hope
by Juanita Minter, Tyler, TX, U.S.A.

Donna had just turned 5 on May 8, 2001. On May 14 my daughter, Misty, was taking her home from preschool that morning. They were in their neighborhood, unaware that a high speed DPS chase was in progress. They were hit by the DPS car and Donna was immediately killed. Misty had neck, ribs and leg injuries. She is physically fine now, thank God. Donna had spent a lot of time with me, especially on weekends. I feel so sad still to not be able to hold her and dress her for church or wherever we were going. I know she is in such a better place but I miss her terribly.
