Stories of Lost Child
Siblings
Bobby
by Leigh Ann Thouin, Waterford, U.S.A.
I was just three years old but I will never forget that day. Bobby, who was 15 months old, and I decided to try to cook cheetos on the stove. Of coarse I got burned and Bobby started crying. My mother was so mad that she spanked both of us! That is the last thing that I remember about my brother. That night he went to the hospital and was admitted with pnemonia. Two days later he died of sids. I was never able to say good bye to him and I couldn't understand what happened. Sometimes people forget about the other victims. Although it has been many years, and I have learned to understand what happened, it doesn't get any easier. I still miss him every day.
