Perfect Ride

Just recently, less than a month ago, my little and only brother was killed in a car accident. He was only 20 years old, still a boy. Such a life-loving, fun-loving, sensitive, kind young man. I will NEVER understand how such a wonderful life could end so abruptly. My brother was a bull rider, a risk taker, an adrenaline junky but none of the adventurous, daring things he loved to do ended his short life. A stupid car crash and a drunk driver. I am so furious with it seems, like everyone, and everything. My brother and I were very very close. I have never met any other siblings that could even rival our relationship. I know to lose any brother or sister or child hurts, but nothing anyone can say will make me believe that losing your ONLY sibling doesn't hurt a 1000 times worse. I will never again see his goofy grin that we all loved so much, or hear his overly loud voice and laugh. I'll never get to lecture him on being careful, I'll never get to see him ride another bull BULLRIDING. My brother was a die-hard bull rider, loved the thrill of the rodeo-man's life and he was good; DAMN good!!! I get very little comfort these days knowing that my baby brother is never going to call and ask for a ride here, never gonna say, "Hey, Sister wanna do me a favor", or say "Man, your little girl looks just like you Sharla". But what solace I do find, I find it in knowing that where he is now, all his bull rides a re PERFECT FOREVER, just the way he would want it.
