Stories of Lost Children

Missing Isabella
by Theresa Frazier, Norfolk, VA, U.S.A.

My husband and I found out we were expecting in the third week of April. We couldn't have been more excited. To make a long story short, I was diagnosed with advanced cervical cancer on August 6th. Our beautiful Angel, Isabella Marie, was born sleeping on August 17, 2001. She weighed only 7 ounces and was 8 1/2 inches long. When she was born, we discovered something we had no way of knowing. There was a "true knot" in the umbilical cord. She was perfect in our eyes and we miss her more and more with each new day. We know we will see her again in Heaven, but we still feel very selfish in wanting her here with us. She will remain in our hearts and our minds forever.

We love you Isabella. Mommy & Daddy
