Stories of Lost Children
Aurora
by Michelle Bailey, Barrie, ON, Canada
On Christmas Day 2012, it was to be a big surprise to the families. We were going to tell them that we were 21 weeks pregnant. But that all quickly changed. I went to the hospital at 5:30 in the morning. My Mom had to come stay with my 3 yr old. We had an ultrasound. All was fine. We went home (about 11). But there was something happening. We did Christmas (the gift part) I had a bath. Then it was not good. My Mom had to call an ambulance(my husband took the 3 yr and dog for a drive). Just as the paramedics got in the house I delivered my little girl. Aurora Margaret Bailey was born at 2:55 p.m. She was rushed off in an ambulance, I followed later in another one. She lived for about 30 mins. Because she was 21 weeks I knew she was not going to survive. There was nothing wrong with her or with me, so we have no idea what happen. We just know she is up with her Grandpa being loved by him and many other family friends.
