My son Steven was...amazing! Steven was born with a rare liver disease called Algiers Syndrom. He had a liver transplant at 15 months and had every problem mentionable that could go wrong with a transplant. But thru all of it he smiled, laughed and lit up the room. To this day I miss him so much it hurts ...it's been almost 18 years. He died four days before his second birthday and was buried on his birthday. I will never forget the day he died, I can close my eyes and relive every moment, a day I wish I could forget. I truly think the only way I stayed so strong is having the faith that I will be with him again some day. I read so many books about the afterlife and it really does help a great deal. I miss you Steven and will never forget you! Thank you for being in my life even for the short time. I'm so sorry for all the other mothers out there who also lost a child there is no greater pain.
