Loss of Our 3 Year Old Son to Pool Drowning

April 10th, 2009 will be a day I'll never forget, for that is the day that my only child who was 3 years of age drowned in our backyard pool. I'm the one who found him & jumped in to get him. I keep gettin flashbacks of this horrible experience. We called 911, ambulance came & worked on him for about 45 minutes at our house, then rushed him to local hospital where they tried to revive his heart for over 2 hours with over 20 drugs. His poor little heart never started up again and was pronounced dead 2 hours later at the hospital. I don't know how I had any strength or mental stability, but it must have been the hardest thing to do was to shut my son's eye's on his lifeless body and kiss him good bye! How can you get over this! We were great parents and watched every second of his movements. I was a stay at home mom with him while my husband worked full time. I currently am in my 2nd week of Cosmetology school because I can't stand being in the house alone without anyone here especially my husband. We've grown much closer together throughout this tragic event. I'm 30 and my husband will be turning 30 in 4 months. But I feel like most of me has died with my son. I have no interest in anything. I just want to do my time here on earth and get to heaven to be with my son and sister! I miss him every second of everyday! My heart feels like it's cut open and constantly bleeding with no end in sight!
