My Son Cody

On February 22, 2000, the Lord blessed my husband and I with our first child, Cody. Not only was he born on 2-22-00, he was born at 2:22 a.m. He was such a healthy, happy, content baby--rarely sick and rarely unhappy. However, on February 22, 2001, Cody's first birthday, the Lord decided to take him home to heaven to be with Him. He had passed away sometime in the middle of the night. He was scheduled to have his 1-yr pictures that day and his birthday party that weekend. I had all of his gifts wrapped and ready to go except for one that he had already opened when I wasn't looking. Our lives have been turned upside down. It has now been 8 weeks, and we were just told that there is basically no explanation for his death--they have ruled it SIDS. My husband and I cannot believe that a perfectly healthy baby can just die of nothing except that obviously the Lord needed him in Heaven and had something more wonderful planned for him than we could ever give. Perhaps one day we will know the reason why the Lord chose to take Cody so early.
