Billy

I want to talk about my son, 6'3", 36 years old and so handsome...Billy. I am the only one that still called him that. You do not expect to see someone that is over 6' to answer to the name Billy. To his sister and everyone else, he was Bill.
It will be 2 years 12/15 that Billy left us. It has been the hardest and worst two years of my life. At times I wondered if I was going to make it another day and the only reason I have is Billy's sister. I don't want her to have any more pain than she has since her brother died. Attending meetings for Compassionate Friends; they say the pain will always be there. Well they are right about that; the pain is still here and so are the tears. I don't think a day has gone by that I have not thought about Billy or cried. I just can't accept that that he is not here with us any more. I am not sure I ever will. I still hear his voice in my head saying "Hi mom, it's me" when he called . Like I wouldn't know his voice anywhere.
