Mommy's Little Girl

I had my daughter 5 weeks early, we had found out 2 weeks before she was born that the left side of her heart wasn't working right. She had open heart surgery when she was 7 days old and she came through pretty well. The next 2 weeks was a battle to keep her oxygen and blood pressure up. The doctors were getting worried why her swelling wasn't going down from her surgery also. One day before she would have been a month old the doctor told me she was dying and I need to go in and see her. Up to this point I had never got to hold her but a couple of minutes before her surgery. I went in crying and asked if I could hold her. I got to hold her on her last breath. I miss her soooooo much and I am so upset I never really got to be her mommy. I did stay with her 2 hours from where we live so I could see her every day for the month she was on earth.
