My Lily has been gone for almost 2 years now. My priest asked me such a difficult question, "would you have rather she had not been born if you had known what a short time you were going to have with her?". The answer was not forthcoming immediately. It took me a long time to be able to honestly answer his question. The pain was so intense and had I answered it within that first year I would have very much regretted my response. There is nothing in this world that I am more grateful for than having my wonderful precious Lily even though it was for such a short time. Loosing a child with no warning and no illness is terrible but their short little lives really are such a blessing. I hope that someday we can both think of our daughters without crying for our losses. They sit in God's lap now and are happy.
