Stories of Lost Children

Sweet Little Naomi
by Elsa Ochoa, Mission, TX, U.S.A.

"Sweet Little Naomi" gone but not forgotten.

Naomi, was born on January 18, 2007. She was and identical twin. We had, had almost 2 months of stressful days in the hospital due to my daughter in-laws premature labor.
Finally, the day came and the girls were born. The were both beautiful and looked so healthy, until the doctor's did a thorough check up on Naomi and discovered something wrong with her heart. She was flown to Driscoll Hospital and the nightmare began for one whole month. Once her surgery was performed, nothing ever went right. Day after Day we'd walk to NICU hoping to hear good news and just kept hearing bad reports on her condition. There is anger, there is hurt, sorrow, that cannot be removed from our hearts. We are thankful that Brissa, Naomi's twin is healthy, however, we miss Naomi and wish she was here with us to enjoy. She did suffer for a whole month, my son and daughter in law gave her the opportunity to fight for her life til they accepted the fact that it was not to be. "Sweet little Naomi" was released to the Lord's hands on February 16, 2007 and is safely home, being the family's guardian angel.

We love you and miss you baby. We wish we could hold you in our arms and squeeze you and kiss you, pinch your cheeks like we do Brissa's fat little cheeks. Our consolation is she is not suffering anymore.
I do believe we will see you someday little one.
