My Precious Baby Boy

My son was born on October 3 2006, which happened to be my birthday. I was in labour for 8.5 hours and when he was put on my tummy I was overjoyed. He is my 2nd baby. I have a 2 year old daughter. I loved my son different although he was my little angel boy and my daughter is a daddy's girl so our family was perfect. Also, my son was breastfed and my daughter wasn't so we had that special bond. He was a happy baby, didn't have colic or anything. He was 10 weeks old and I put him to bed on December 19 at around 12 a.m. Everything was fine he was normal and at around 4 or 5 a.m. I woke up to him making a fuss to eat so I picked him up and pulled him into bed with me and nursed him as I dozed in and out. At around 9 a.m. I woke up for the first few seconds and I didn't notice anything until I looked down and my baby was purple and he didn't look like he was breathing. I checked for a pulse and there wasn't one so I woke my husband up and then I ran for the phone. My husband was trying to give him CPR while I was on the phone with 911 but we knew there was nothing we could do for him. The police came and took statements and took David away but thankfully they let me say goodbye to him. That was the hardest day of my life and I would never wish that on anyone. You go day by day and you have days your happy and days you feel overwhelmed with sadness but I have to hope that one day I will see him again.
