Stories of Lost Children

Our Little Soldier
by Tina Shannon Krohn, Colonial Beach, VA, U.S.A.

We were pregnant with a little boy and found out at 5 months that he had a heart condition. Okay, nothing but surgery plans, so we thought. At about 7 months, I was hospitalized for a month due to having Preclampsia. I had an Amniocentisis test done and found out about 2 hours before I went into hard labor that our son was not going to make it no longer than birth. I was in labor for a few hours but had him in about 45 minutes. He was born 4 lbs 14 ounces and 15 inches long. He was the most beutiful thing to the two of us and we longed for the chance to finally meet him. We had the chance to hold, love and cherish the moments we had gotten to spend with him. It was the best 4 and a half hours I have had in my life.

It has only been almost five months and we are still hurting. But I know from my heart that our little boy is and always will be right here by our sides helping us through everything. I just want him to know we love him more than life itself and will always think of him and keep him in our hearts and memories.

We love you buddy.
