Stories of Lost Children

My Little Homer
by Yvonne, Kansas City, U.S.A.

My little Homer. I had waited 20 years to hear the words that I was pregnant. How could that be I had given up on that years ago. I had a grown adopted child. After years of infertility treatments had all been for nothing I had accepted that it was my fate, never to be. It was too exciting! In my 20th week my membranes ruptured and he was born too little to survive and I held him knowing that that would be my only child born to me ever. I am to old and now have health problems to ever try again. But I know he is in heaven with my father waiting for me. I will be with him again! If nothing else I am sure of that.
