I Would Like to Write a Miracle Story For You

My name is Lisa Courie and I have a one year old daughter who was born at 21 weeks and 6 days. She weighed only 15 ounces. She was the dream that was almost shattered. I look at her every day and thank God for not taking her from me. Now you might think what's so special about this child? Well I will tell you..... She was born twin B and her identical twin sister was only 13.9 ounces. The story about her is...she was brain dead at birth and only took one breath before she passed away. We passed Faith around the room for almost 5 hours just waiting for her to pass away. She ended up at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital for 4 months and 3 weeks before we were able to take her home. She gets Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. All in all she is a normal 8 month old baby. My due date with the twins was October 12, 2004 and I delivered both girls on June 8,2004. My daughter, Faith, is now 11 pounds and is sitting with assist turning over like Rover and is trying to crawl on her own. I read one of your magazines yesterday and I thought I would email you and tell you a little about my Daughter. The hardest part of caring for my ill child is I am a single Mom now and I have to do it all on my own. Well thank you for reading my story.
