Stories of Lost Children

Our Dearest Jocelynne
by Leslie Boslet, Lewes, U.S.A.

On February 2, 2000, we received the crushing news. Our sweetest angel had cancer. The blessing was that the tumor could be removed and with some Cheomotherapy our Jocelynne would be cured. How happy the days were! Jocelynne means Joyous and that's exactly how she greeted each day. She had an adorable way of talking with her hands and twirling her feet as if she were warming up for a dance recital. How magnificent this child was to have been living with cancer and doing it with such grace. She loved music although she could not sing the words, the melodies that emulated from her were angelic.

On 6/12/2000, 4 days before her final chemo and 15 months to the day she was born, our dearest Jocelynne died suddenly and unexpectedly in my arms. We are forever changed and deeply saddened, but we know she is in heaven and we live for the day we will be reunited. God Bless you Jocelynne.
