Our Joshua
by Christine DeFrance, Belleville, Michigan, U.S.A. We adopted Joshua when he was just two days old. I gave birth to 2 children previously. We hadn't been trying to adopt but God's plan was for us to have Josh. All his growing up years he was different. Everyone loved him and he was kind to all. He lived to make people feel good. I would say he was a normal healthy boy but I don't believe he was normal. He was like an earthly angel. He was wise far beyond his years. This year he was 17 and he had waited to get his driver license. I had kept putting it off. He was a very good driver and I felt he was ready. The day came when he got his license and he went with a friend to the mall. He called me to tell me he had arrived back to his friends house and he was on his way home. He said I love you mom and he was so happy to have been able to drive. Ten minutes later on his way home he lost control of his truck and died instantly. I am still struggling to know how to go on without my Joshua. I miss him so much.
