Stories of Lost Children

Not Forgotten
by Kelly Vannoy, Winston-Salem, NC, U.S.A.

I recently wrote in and shared my story about my daughter Kalen Noelle. She was our first born daughter. She was born 4 months premature, and was only with us for 2 hours. She has made such an impression on our lives, that she is in every thought that crosses our minds. Not a day has gone by, that I have not said her name outloud or told her I loved her. I know she can hear me.

The day we buried her, it was cold, and rainy and they were expecting snow. Everytime it rains, I feel closer to her. I make sure I get rained on. Funny how things before never meant that much to you. Before, I hated to be rained on, now, I can't wait to feel the drops land on my face. It's like Kalen is letting me know she is doing just fine, and it's okay for me to move on with my life.

Well, we found out just this week, that we are expecting our second child. We are thrilled, yet nervous. I feel as though Kalen had a little hand in this. This baby will know all about Kalen and how much we love her.

Although soon, we will be holding our new child, and loving him/her, Kalen will never be far from our hearts!

She will never be FORGOTTEN!!!!!!
